I won't bore you with the technical details of torrent. You may not understand everything in the beginning but as you read through this article you will be able to download just about anything off the internet including tv shows and movies for free. All you need to know about torrent is
- torrent is a type of file you need to download and open with a torrent software like utorrent, bit torrent, etc (Don't worry, I will show you how to download and where to get them files)
- more people downloading a torrent file means more download speed (unless they are not self-centered and providing appropriate upload)

Torrent Software/Client:
There are many torrent clients available but my personal favorite are
utorrent and
BitTorrent. Click on the links to download the software. It's free of cost.
Now that you have the torrent software, it's time to search for whatever it is that you want to download (TV shows, Movies, Games, Audio Books, Software, PDF books, etc)

This is my favorite site where I search for torrents.
Click Here to launch the website in a new window. Once you are on torrentz.com, you can type into the search bar, the name of your favorite tv show, movies or whatever you are interested in. Here is the screen shot of a sample search.

Please ignore the sponsored Links on the top of the search list and scroll down to where it says 1-50 of xxxx for "your search item". Why, if you click on sponsored links it will launch another window and ask you to subscribe and pay for your download, you don't want that.
How to select which one is the best link to download
You will find so many links just for one search. In the above screen shot, I have highlighted the segment in the right side. From left to right: upload date, size, and peers. You should click on the link which has maximum peers and if you have a slow internet connection, I would suggest considering the file size along with peers.
Now that you have clicked on your desired link. It will open next page, which will show you the list of websites where the torrent file is stored. Here is the screenshot of this page.
Again do not click on the sponsored links. From this list my personal favorite is
btjunkie.com because it has user comments about the quality of the file (most of the time) and my second favorite is
thepiratebay.org. If you don't find these two sites on the list, you can try others.
Note: While you are on these websites make sure you don't have your children around as some of these websites have pornographic advertisements.
What's next?
After clicking on let's say
btjunkie.com from the list, the website will open in a new tab.
Click on Download Torrent or Download this torrent or Download via torrent and NEVER click on items like Direct High Speed Download and Anonymous Torrent Download, again they will ask you to subscribe and payment.
Scroll down to read the comments if there are any. Once you click on the link, it will download the torrent file in your computer, you can choose the location (usual stuff).
Now open your downloaded torrent file and by default it will open in utorrent or BitTorrent which ever you downloaded in the previous step. It may ask you where you want to save your actual TV show, movie, music video, songs, e-books, games, etc depending on the customization of utorrent and BitTorrent.
Your download will begin as soon as you click OK.
Advantage of using torrent
You can pause your download anytime you want and resume it later when you are not surfing the internet. The download is completely unattended. So go ahead do your thing while you downloads finished.
Right click on the download in your torrent software to discover more options. They are pretty self explanatory. Make sure you provide upload to others because the download speed you are getting is because others are giving you upload speed.
